The Community Kitchen at our Eureka location and 'The Kitchen' at 8th & I Streets / 971 8th St. across the street from our Arcata location offer educational cooking classes and workshops ranging from the basics to gourmet. Best of all, you get to eat what you learn! Co-op members receive a discount. Some classes and workshops are even free!

Cooking Class gift certificates make the perfect present! Pick one up at Customer Service in either store location.

Class and workshop times vary. Please register at least 24 hours in advance. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for all classes and workshops. Cancellations require at least a 24 hour notice. Refunds will be given in the form of Co-op gift cards. Co-op gift cards will also be used as refunds for classes and workshops the Co-op has to cancel. Contact Lauren Fawcett (707) 443-6027, ext. 102.

Community Kitchen
The Eureka Co-op Community Kitchen is available to community groups, clubs, and non-profit organizations interested in conducting a cooking class or demonstration for their own purposes. The kitchen is equipped with:  A 6 foot demo island, 6 burner gas induction cook top, grill, built-in wok, sink, double convection oven, refrigerator, fire suppression system, commercial microwave, lockers, and all tools, implements, and utensils one would expect in an instructional kitchen.

Community Meeting Room
The Eureka Co-op offers many services and features helpful to the community. One is our community meeting room. This in-store facility will seat up to 21 people and is furnished with tables, chairs, a white marker board and markers. Best of all, it is available free of charge to any group, organization, or club whose goal is to make positive changes in the community and/or environment.

Using the freshest ingredients, the Deli prepares Traditional Ethnic Foods, Comfort Meals, and Convenient Lunch items, including Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free.  Whether it is grab-n-go or catered; great wholesome food is prepared from scratch using organic ingredients whenever practical.

Our Co-op deli makes custom sandwiches, traditional and specialty salads, savory soups and grilled veggies and tofu sticks.  Custom sandwich forms can be downloaded and either called or faxed in to have your sandwich ready when you arrive. Please use the form below that corresponds to the location where you would like to pick up your order.

Mission
The North Coast Co-op Bakery prepares and bakes quality, affordable items with an emphasis on whole grain and organically grown ingredients. All our products are made from scratch without dough conditioners, artificial flavorings, colorings or preservatives.

The North Coast Co-op Bakery is a full service production bakery; everything we bake is handmade fresh daily.  You'll love our breads, cakes, cereals, pastries, pies and espressos.  We bake the best brownie in the whole world right here!

Taste the difference! You won't find or taste artificial ingredients or fillers here. Whenever practical we use organic ingredients.

Try our private label, shade grown, fair trade organic coffee.  Look for shade grown, fair trade organic teas as well. 

Our production facility is located at our Arcata location.  Look for coffee, espresso drinks, desserts, pastries, breads and savories at both stores: at the Bakery counter in Arcata and the Deli counter in Eureka.

Need to order bread?  Not to worry, pre-orders of breads require an 8-loaf minimum and grains products require a 10 lb minimum per item.  Wholesale accounts are always welcomed. For more information and to place your order call (707) 826-2706.

Specialty Cakes

Our cakes are made entirely from scratch using the highest quality ingredients, including organically-grown whole wheat pastry flour, organic butter, organic eggs, unrefined sweeteners and pure chocolate.  We use the finest, purest ingredients. 

You can pick out a cake from our case or dream up one of your own.  Our handmade cakes are an edible work of art, ready to impress a few people or a large party.   They are made with all-natural ingredients so they need to be refrigerated.
